Trunkates are indiscriminate eaters, and will bite anything that comes near them. They spend their time sleeping, naturally camouflaged as ordinary tree trunks or rock formations. When a fish or a large insect touches it, the Trunkate springs to life, grabs it, and takes a large bite from it. This is an automatic reflex, and Trunkates will bite anything they can grab. Trunkates ignore anything too small to grasp with their branches.
